TV’s 10 hottest female non-humans
Would I date a homicidal robot? Do I find a one-eyed cartoon mutant attractive? Is kissing a sexy demon worth losing years of my life?
Those were some of the questions I had to ask myself while writing this list.
There are many non-human women on TV – demons, vampires, machines and Real Housewives – but not all of them are hot. And what makes someone hot? I side with Stanley from The Office who once said that a “hot” woman is healthy, sexy, pretty and strong. I’d also say that brains, maturity and passion should be in the mix — even if that passion is for killing monsters or blowing up evil cyborgs. Click through for a list of the hottest robots, aliens and “abnormals” currently on TV.
10. Marlena (Cindy Sampson), Reaper
She’s a succubus demon worth losing years of your life to kiss, according to Sock, Reaper’s resident soul-catching uber slacker. Marlena showed up in the last episode of the first season and left a big impression on Sock and some loyal fans of the show. She’s a hot chick who’s into slackers, and a makeout session with Marlena will boost your physical strength and your outlook on life for hours. She’s like an addictive upper in hot demon form. I hope she shows up in season two, which kicked off this month.
9. Dr. Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping), Sanctuary
A super intelligent, immortal doctor who kicks evil ass and looks good in leather? She might be 157 years old, but Dr. Helen Magnus is definitely hot. I’m sure most Sanctuary fans would agree. Some might not consider Dr. Magnus a “non-human,” but a normal person juiced up by vampire blood. But once you inject yourself with enough vampire blood to become indestructible and gain other super-human abilities, you’re no longer human, you’re an “abnormal.”
Dr. Magnus is an admirable leader and she’s committed to her cause – helping and protecting the misunderstood abnormals of the world. She’s tough, mysterious and she’s played by Amanda Tapping, already a geek sex symbol thanks to her years on the Stargate franchise.
8. Leela (Katey Sagal), Futurama
The mutant Planet Express ship captain is always in demand, despite only having a single supersized eye. Men of many species have tried to win Leela’s heart, but she’s a tough, capable girl with high standards (well, except when it comes to Fry). Leela and Futurama live on in a series of direct-to-DVD movies. They remind us that without Leela’s wit, grace and Arcturan Kung-fu fighting skills, the Planet Express crew probably wouldn’t have survived the first season. Even the Robot Devil knows not to mess with her. (Yeah, she’s a cartoon, but that’s cool with me if it’s cool with you.)
